Paris in the sights of the world's best archers

Au lendemain de la première étape de la Coupe du Monde Hyundai et à deux mois de la manche The day after the first stage of the Hyundai World Cup and two months before the European round which will take place from 21st to 26th June, delegations are completing their registration for Paris. The 2022 event is already expected to be very strong with the presence of the world's best nations and their star archers.

Paris is full of competitors
Following the success of its first edition, the Paris stage of the World Cup is attracting a lot of people. In mid-April, no less than 46 countries from 4 continents are pre-registered to compete on the field of the Stade Charléty, the scene of the qualifications and elimination rounds. That is more than 370 athletes who will make the trip to the French capital. 
In detail, there are currently 119 registered in the men's recurves bow and 94 in the women's. In compound bow, 92 men and 68 women were registered.

Strong participation of Asian nations

Asian nations will make an appearance at the second edition of the Hyundai Archery World Cup Paris. Absent last year due to the health crisis, several major archery countries will be there. Among the most expected, South Korea, China, Japan, but also Indonesia and Hong Kong will join India already present in 2021 and whose archers have won many medals. Delegations that are often familiar with the podiums and that are expecting to cover themselves with gold in Paris.

The European and American opposition will be tough. While waiting for the final list of entries, we can only savour the exciting show that is set to take place on 25 and 26 June 2022 for the finals of this World Cup.

Vincennes, a new showcase for the finals

A country of fashion, elegance and … castles, France continues to offer its best assets to conquer the hearts of the world's best athletes and archery fans.  

Pour les archers, face au défi d’une qualification en finale par équipe ou dans le dernier carré individuel, la récFor the archers, the challenge of qualifying for the team final or the individual final will be a great reward. After the Trocadero fountains in 2013, the Parisian finalists will have the great privilege of shooting in the royal courtyard of the Château de Vincennes. A venue full of history, which they will be called upon to stamp their mark on.

With the 2024 Olympics in mind, a win at the Paris World Cup would be a real psychological boost for the winners. It is a World Cup stage like no other that awaits them this year.
