Frequently Asked Questions Volunteers

You will find the answers to your questions in the "volunteer charter" but also below. If you have any further questions, please email us : benevoles@france-tiralarc.org. We will make sure to respond to you as soon as possible.

Am I automatically accepted as a volunteer by registering online ?

Volunteers will be chosen according to selection criteria that correspond to the requirements needed to carry out the task and the context in which the volunteering takes place. These criteria may include, among others: language skills, interpersonal skills, physical abilities, and volunteer experience, depending on the positions we offer.

Volunteers will be selected following an interview with the volunteer manager after sending the application form.

Are volunteers covered by insurance?

The volunteers involved are covered by the civil liability insurance of the France Tir à l'Arc Organizing Committee.

Does a volunteer have an employment contract ?

No, the only contract that binds the volunteer to the France Archery Organising Committee is a moral contract. He or she undertakes to respect the rules set out in the volunteer charter.

The volunteer therefore has no legal subordination and can break this link without notice or compensation.

Volunteers must sign and respect the volunteer charter before committing themselves to the France Tir à l'Arc Organising Committee.

I am a minor, can I volunteer for the World Cup ?

It is possible to become a volunteer for the World Cup as long as you are at least 16 years old. For minors, parental authorisation will be required.

I don't live in Paris or Ile de France, is it a problem to become a volunteer ?

Living outside the Ile de France region is not a problem to become a volunteer during the World Cup.

However, the Organising Committee does not take care of accommodation. Travel expenses by public transport in Ile de France (RER, Transilien, Metro, Bus and Tramway) can be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts by the Organising Committee. Monthly passes, air travel, TGV/TER and car travel to the Ile de France region are not covered by the organiser.

On our volunteer platform, it is possible to find accommodation during the period of volunteering.

We will be setting up co-accommodation solutions for those interested to facilitate low-cost accommodation for volunteers who do not have a place to stay.

If I am no longer available for my volunteer assignment, what should I do?

Communicate as quickly as possible with the volunteer management team by email or with the team leader via the platform. Every volunteer is needed. It is therefore important that the France Tir à l'Arc Organising Committee be informed of absences in order to find replacements so as not to compromise the smooth running of the competitions.

Is catering for volunteers planned ?

Volunteers who are present as part of their mission, benefit from the provision and payment of a meal at midday. Catering will be on the same basis as that provided for the athletes.
